This fast-growing succulent is the first official cross between Sempervivum and Aeonium. ‘Sienna’ grows into a conical shape with a large central rosette and layers of evenly spaced smaller rosettes that grow underneath. It creates a stunning specimen for a patio container or outdoor garden in zones 9b and higher. From spring to fall, it’s a bright sienna red with green in the heart of each rosette. From late fall to winter, the color changes to greenish-purple and gradually to dark burgundy red. It's a colorful, robust plant that’s sure to delight any gardener.

We’re glad to hear you’re enjoying your Semponium ‘Surreal Sienna’! This variety develops some beautiful color changes as it matures and moves through the seasons.
From spring through fall, the foliage is typically a bright sienna red with green in the heart of each rosette. As the weather cools, the coloring changes. From late fall into winter, the foliage transitions to greenish-purple and gradually deepens to a dark burgundy red. The intensity of the color can vary depending on light, temperature, and growing conditions.
As for flowers, Semponiums need to reach maturity before they are ready to bloom. Once the plant is mature and well established, it can produce a tall flower stalk topped with clusters of flowers. The timing can vary, so it may take some time for a younger plant to flower.
Providing plenty of bright light and good growing conditions will help encourage the best coloration and overall growth. We hope you enjoy watching your ‘Surreal Sienna’ change colors throughout the seasons!

Trish White I only gave this plant a 3 star because it is not the color that is advertised. the plant leaves are green - Perhaps in time the leaves will change to red and orange, but right now I have a green plant.
